1- Geographic Information System (GIS) Intern: The intern will help IS design, develop and implement an enterprise GIS system based on user specifications, write and test code to manipulate spatial data presented on maps and develop GIS related documentation and train end users. The successful candidate will have knowledge of cartography/geography terms, significant exposure to web-enabled mapping products like Bing Maps or Google Earth as well as demonstrated skills in Visual Basic, HTML, XML, Silverlight, or other GIS vendor-specific software. 

2-  Information Security Intern: This intern will research new Information Security compliance issues and update existing policies or create new policies, utilize Policy Management Center to distribute policies to the user population in a controlled manner and track receipt, understanding and agreement with the policies provided. The successful candidate will be able to research compliance issues on the Internet from various sources, understand policies and document policy violations with precision and clarity.  They will be trained on use of the Policy Management Center application. 

3 – Technical Writer Intern: The intern will assist the Senior Technical Writer in planning, organizing, researching, writing, and editing a wide variety of technical, and project related documents, reports and materials and also in establishing technical documentation standards for the Information Services Department. They will create both paper and online documents. The successful candidate  will have experience working with associated software in creating, editing and publishing documents and materials such as MS Office (e.g. Word), Adobe Acrobat, Help Authoring Tools (e.g., RoboHelp), MS Visio, and Screen Capturing Software (e.g. Snag-It and/or Captivate); and a strong desire to communicate technical concepts in both written and visual format.
