Weekly Assignments 25% of Final Grade |
There will be weekly assignments which you will be expected to complete. You will be able to hand these in at most ONE WEEK late. The assignments will distributed as the class progresses. You will need to check Blak,board for the assignment due dates. Each assignment will have specific instructions and will be graded based on your solution. You will be given an assessment sheet with each assignment. You are expected to upload ALL work to Blackboard. Since these are INDIVIDUAL assignments, so you are expected to complete these on your own. You should be working with fellow students on questions your don't understand, but all work you submit is expected to be your own. If you are absent on the day an assignment is due, you must still submit it to Blackboard. If you do not submit the work by the due date and TIME, it will be graded as late. All late assignments will be reduced 10 points after the due date and time. You will only be permitted to submit work upto one week late. Work submitted later than one will will NOT be accepted.

Participation 15% of Final Grade
|
Each student is expected to attend all classes--both
lecture and lab sessions and participate in work presentations. Some
class time will be devoted to reviewing solutions to work
in lab exercises. Failure to actively participate in these
discussions will be reflected in this component of your grade. Some lab
exercises will be part of the work assigned in the weekly assignment. |

Semester Tests |
Your test dates are If you miss a test, then grade for your final test will be doubled to make up the grade for the missed test. Test material builds on topics from earlier topics, but material assessed in one test will not be assessed in future tests. Tests are closed book. Some parts may allow you to use computer features for calculations. MAKE-UP Tests will NOT be given. If you missed the schedule date/time for the test, your grade for the test will be 0 and your grade for the final test weill be doubled to make up the missed tests.

Semester Project |
Each person will be assigned to a team. The team will be responsible for researching the project, and preparing a presentation on the topic. More details about the project will be presented during the next few weeks The presentation component will comprise 75% of the
project grade. The individual team assessments will comprise 25% of the
project grade. It is possible each person on the team will receive
DIFFERENT grades for the project.
